What we collect

From website forms: name, email address, preferred meeting date, selected advice topic, and message content. During engagements we may also collect financial circumstances, identification documents, and product statements as required for regulated advice and anti-money-laundering checks.

Purposes and lawful bases

• Responding to enquiries — legitimate interests in operating an advice practice, and steps toward a contract where you request engagement.
• Providing regulated advice — performance of a contract and legal obligations.
• Optional analytics cookies — consent where required (see our cookies page).

Retention

Enquiry messages without an engagement are typically kept for up to 24 months. Client advice files are retained for periods required by financial services regulation and limitation periods — often six years or longer after the advice ends. You may ask us which category applies to your data.

Sharing

We share data with product providers when implementing advice you have authorised, with professional referees (solicitors or accountants) when you ask us to coordinate, and with IT or hosting suppliers under processing agreements. We do not sell personal data.

International transfers

Where a supplier stores data outside the United Kingdom, we use appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or adequacy regulations where available.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, or portability where applicable. You may lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office. Rights may be limited where we must retain records for regulatory reasons.
